Teaching Philosophy:

I like to give all of my students a well- rounded education in music. I incorporate basic ear training and music theory into all of my lessons. I teach all music theory and ear training as a musical activity or as a game to my children and teenage students. I also use video/ visual illustrations to demonstrate certain concepts. I specialize in teaching preschool and kindergarten children. My belief is that expressing the music is the most important aspect of being a performance artist. So, I teach all of my students the musical history behind a piece of music. I teach all of my singers to fully understand the lyrics that they are singing, so that they can fully express the music while singing. I teach all of my singers how to be a "singing actress/ actor." I am a vocal health and awareness advocate, and I teach all of my voice students about the basic anatomy and physiology of the voice, as well as how to keep their voices healthy. My belief is that learning music should be fun. If the student is not having fun, than I am not doing my job. I also believe in rewarding students for their hard work, because if you reward a student for their hard work then they'll continue to practice and work harder. So, I do giveaway prizes, and awards twice a year at their recitals. I offer a Winter and Spring Recital to all of my students.
